We had a blast on our mini-snow-vacation. We went up to Whitetail Resort (only 1.5 hours from our house) and skied one day, snow-tubed the next. Much family fun.
Winter Concert performance, solo by Katie. It actually turns out to be more her song, because her mike picked her up more than the rest of the chorus. Check out the fun "candlelight" effect, too.
Today we went down to National Geographic's Explorer's Hall to see the Terra Cotta Warriors exhibit. The kids and I really liked it (although it was really crowded.) Unfortunately, you couldn't take pictures in the exhibit. They had a reproduction statue you could touch and take pictures of outside the main hall.
It was snowing steadily by the time we got out of the exhibit. Katie had fun watching the snow fall out the Metro window.
After the exhibit, we went to church to practice the dance that Nic, Katie, I, and 5 others will do tomorrow for both services. The topic this Sunday is the Jewishness of Jesus, so we're doing a kind of Jewish dance. I don't know if anyone will video it tomorrow, but if they do I'll post it. I took the picture of the snow out the sanctuary windows.
Russ is husband to Karla and father to wonder-twins Nic & Katie. He's a graphics guy who only occasionally updates this blog with the somewhat interesting stuff we do as a family.
